Phlebotomy and EKG
Phlebotomy is the practice of drawing blood from a patient and getting it ready for medical laboratory testing. (For more information about what phlebotomy is and what a phlebotomist does, read our Phlebotomist FAQ.) EKG Technicians use special medical instruments to monitor patients’ hearts. These are very beneficial skills to have if you wish to further your career as a medical assistant in a doctor’s office, hospital, or clinic.
Phlebotomy and EKG Course Objectives and Requirements
The objective of the Phlebotomy and EKG Training courses in our Medical Assistant Certification Program is for students to become certified Phlebotomy and EKG technicians through the National Healthcareer Association.
