At ACI Medical & Dental School, we partner with several trusted scholarship programs to help students manage the cost of attending our medical and dental training programs. We’re proud to support veterans as well as military spouses who are looking to gain new skills and build careers in the healthcare industry. One of the scholarship programs we work with is the My Career Advancement Account Scholarship (MyCAA), which provides financial assistance specifically for military spouses. This program helps cover tuition costs for career training programs at schools across the country—including ours.

What is the My Career Advancement Account Scholarship (MyCAA)?
The MyCAA Scholarship is a workforce development program that offers up to $4,000 in tuition assistance to eligible military spouses. This funding helps cover the cost of licenses, certifications, or associate degrees that are required for employment in various career fields.
Here’s how the scholarship works:
- You can receive up to $2,000 per fiscal year, with a lifetime maximum of $4,000.
- If your chosen program has an upfront cost higher than $2,000, you may qualify for an annual cap waiver, as long as the total doesn’t exceed $4,000.
Who is Eligible For the MyCAA Scholarship?
To qualify for the MyCAA Scholarship, you must be a spouse of an active-duty service member in one of the following pay grades:
- Enlisted: E-1 to E-5
- Warrant Officer: W-1 to W-2
- Officer: O-1 to O-2
You must also:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Request tuition assistance while your spouse is on Title 10 military orders
- Be enrolled in DEERS (Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System)
Spouses of National Guard or reserve members in the above pay grades may also qualify if their military sponsor is on Title 10 orders.
You are not eligible if:
- You are legally separated or separated by court order from your military spouse
- Your spouse is in a status such as warning orders, alert, post-deployment, demobilization, or transition
How Can I Apply for the MyCAA Scholarship Program?
To apply, visit the official My Career Advancement Account Scholarship website and complete your Spouse Profile. You’ll need a DS Logon account to access your application. Military spouses who are enrolled in DEERS can sign up for a DS Logon Premium account. For information about creating a DS Logon, access the ‘How do I use DS Logon to create and access My Career Advancement Account?’ guide on the MyCAA Resources page.
